Abstract:
A 3,4-isoprene polymer having high stereoregularity, in particular, high isotacticity. It is an isoprene polymer having structural units represented by the general formula (I) given in the claims, and is characterized in that the isotacticity of the structural units is 99 %mmmm or higher in terms of pentad content. Also provided is a process for producing the isoprene polymer, characterized by polymerizing an isoprene compound in the presence of a polymerization catalyst comprising a complex represented by the general formula (A) given in the claims.
