Abstract:
An item display method and a terminal provided in the present application relate to the field of communication technology, and are beneficial for simplifying the operation of a user hiding and displaying an item, improving the usage efficiency of the terminal as well as user experience. The method is applicable to a terminal, and the terminal includes a touch screen configured with a fingerprint identifier. The method includes: a terminal displaying a first interface, a first item in the first interface being selected, and there being at least one first item; the terminal receiving a first operation of a user on a touch screen, the first operation being a preset operation gesture instructing the terminal to hide the first item; in response to the first operation, the terminal acquiring fingerprint information of the user of the first operation by means of a fingerprint identifier; in response to the acquired fingerprint information of the user of the first operation having passed the verification, the terminal displaying a second interface, the second interface having no first item compared with the first interface, and the items displayed in the second interface being the same as the other items, apart from the first item in the first interface.
