Abstract:
The present invention relates to an item transfer apparatus, and provides an item transfer apparatus having a pair of traveling rails and a pair of transverse rails arranged in an orthogonal form, and allowing a plurality of transfer carts to freely move along the traveling rails and the transverse rails such that a traveling path of the transfer carts can be changed while traveling, and thus movement of the transfer carts can become more rapid and efficient, and traveling to a destination along a path shorter than that of a closed loop type rail method can be completed, thereby further shortening item transfer time so that the overall quantity of goods transported can be increased and item transfer efficiency can be improved.
