Abstract:
A jamming-prevention protection mechanism for a toaster, wherein when the toaster is heated and is jammed, it can automatically cut off a power supply at UPS. The vertical shaft on the toaster′s base plate passes through a second carriage. An electric appliance switch seating assembly provided with a fixed contact and a moveable contact is fixed on the base plate. A rocker fulcrum bearing hinged to an end of the rocker is also fixed on the base plate. The middle of rocker is connected with the first extend arm which passes through the guiding hole on the second carriage. Tension spring is located between the middle of rocker and the upper end of the second carriage. When the free end of the rocker is at the lowest position, the fixed contact and the moveable contact on the electric appliance switch seating assembly is contacted. Comparing with the prior art, when the baking of slices of bread is terminated and the carriage or bracket is jammed, the free end of the rocker is rotated upwardly under the action of tension spring between the middle of the rocker and the upper end of the second carriage, so the fixed contact and the moveable contact on the electric appliance switch seating assembly are separated, thereby cuts off the power supply.
