Description:

Description JIG FOR FIXING GRINDER BAND

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a jig for fixing a grinder band, and more particularly, to a jig for fixing a grinder band in which the grinder band for a grinder for processing the surface of an object to be processed is mounted at a collect chuck of the grinder in the state where the grinder band is fixed at the grinder. Background Art

[2] Generally, a grinder processes an object to be processed by forming a grinder material such as a grindstone or a ring-shaped grinder band on a shaft rotating at a high speed by driving a motor or by the air pressure of a compressor.

[3] In other words, the grinder processes the surface of metal according to grinder materials, or polishes a welding portion, or removes the surface on which metal is corroded, grinds the surface of timber or stone to be polished, or grinds an unprocessed portion or edge etc. to perform a finishing work, or grinds hand nails or toe nails.

[4] Here, a grinder material is formed to be attached to or detached from a collect chuck of a grinder in the state where the grinder material is formed at a fixing jig. A jig 2 for fixing a grinder band to mount a ring-shaped grinder band 1 comprises a shaft 3 to be combined with a collect chuck (not shown) of a grinder and an engaging end part 4 in which the ring-shaped grinder band 1 is inserted while being combined with one end of the shaft 3, as illustrated in FIG. 1.

[5] Thus, after the ring-shaped grinder band 1 is engaged with the engaging end part 4, the shaft 3 is combined with the collect chuck of the grinder so that the grinder can be operated. Then, due to a rotative force generated in the grinder, the shaft 3 is rotated at a high speed and the grinder band 1 contacts the surface of the object to be processed to perform a processing work.

[6] However, in the jig 2 for fixing the grinder band to mount the ring-shaped grinder band 1 at the grinder, the shaft 3 and the engaging end part 4 are formed of a metallic material. Thus, when the inner diameter of the grinder band 1 is not consistent with the outer diameter of the engaging end part 4, installation is not easily performed and combination is not stably performed and thus, processing cannot be stably performed.

[7] In other words, in the conventional jig 2 for fixing the grinder band 1, when the inner diameter "a"of the grinder band 1 is greater than the outer diameter "b" of the engaging end part 4, the grinder band 1 escapes from the engaging end part 4 of the jig 2 for fixing the grinder band 1 when the shaft 3 is rotated at a high speed in the state where the grinder band 1 is inserted in the engaging end part 4 of the jig 2 for fixing

the grinder band 1. On the contrary, when the inner diameter "a" of the grinder band 1 is smaller than the outer diameter "b"of the engaging end part 4, it is difficult to insert the grinder band 1 in the engaging end part 4 of the jig 2 for fixing the grinder band 1. Thus, there are inconveniences that the engaging end part 4 must be processed so that the grinder band 1 can be inserted in the engaging end part 4 of the jig 2 for fixing the grinder band 1 or other grinder bands to be inserted in the engaging end part 4 must be used.

Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

[8] The present invention provides a jig for fixing a grinder band having an improved structure in which a ring-shaped grinder band can be easily combined with the jig for fixing the grinder band regardless of the size of the inner diameter of the ring-shaped grinder band and a stable combination state is maintained so that the grinder band does not escape from the jig for fixing the grinder band even when a grinder is rotated at a high speed. Technical Solution

[9] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a jig for fixing a ring-shaped grinder band at a grinder, the jig comprising: a fixing shaft having one end engaged with the grinder to which a rotative force generated in the grinder is transferred; an engaging head which is combined with the other end of the fixing shaft and in which a support end part protruded outwards is disposed at the bottom end so that the grinder band can be inserted in the engaging head; and a plurality of combining wings having ductility on the circumferential surface of the engaging head so as to be interposed between the grinder band and the engaging head.

[10] Each of the combining wings may be formed to be spaced apart from one another by the circumference of the engaging head so as to be parallel to the fixing shaft.

[11] The combining wings may be formed as one body on the circumferential surface of the engaging head.

[12] The engaging head and the support end part and the combining wings may be formed of a solid synthetic resin or rubber material having elasticity.

Advantageous Effects

[13] According to the present invention, a plurality of combining wings having ductility are disposed at the circumferential surface of an engaging head so that, even when the inner diameter of a ring-shaped grinder band is different from the outer diameter of an engaging head or the outer diameter that is obtained by adding the outer diameter of the engaging head and the outer diameter of the combining wings, the grinder band can be fixedly inserted in the engaging head. Thus, the ring-shaped grinder band can be

easily mounted and the grinder band can be prevented from escaping from the engaging head when a fixing shaft is rotated at a high speed. Brief Description of the Drawings

[21] The terms and words used in this specification and claims are not to be interpreted in common or literal meanings. Based on the principle that an inventor can adequately define the meaning of terms and words to best describe his/her own invention, they shall be interpreted in the meaning and context conforming to the spirit of the present invention.

[22] Accordingly, the embodiment presented in this description and the accompanying drawing is only an example of the most preferred embodiment of the present invention. It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes and modifications can be made without departing from the principles and spirit of the present invention, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.

[23] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a jig for fixing a grinder band according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a cross- sectional view taken along line III- III of FIG. 2, and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line IV-IV of FIG. 2.

[24] As illustrated in FIG. 2, the jig for fixing a ring-shaped grinder band 10 according to the present invention comprises a fixing shaft 100, an engaging head 200, and a plurality of combining wings 300.

[25] The fixing shaft 100 is a shaft member which is combined with a grinder and rotates due to a rotative force generated when the grinder operates.

[26] One end of the fixing shaft 100 may be attached to and detached from a collect chuck

(not shown) of the grinder, and the engaging head 200 that will be described later is inserted in the other end of the fixing shaft 100.

[27] Here, the fixing shaft 100 may be formed of a metallic material having excellent durability in order to prevent damages due to shock when an object to be processed is

grinded using a grinder band 10 while the fixing shaft 100 rotates at a high speed due to a rotative force of the grinder.

[28] The engaging head 200 is a member in which the ring-shaped grinder band 10 of the grinder is inserted.

[29] Such engaging head 200 is inserted in and is combined with the other end of the fixing shaft 100 and forms a support end part 210 on the lower end of the fixing shaft 100 to be protruded outwards.

[30] The support end part 210 supports the ring-shaped grinder band 10 inserted in the engaging head 200 not to escape laterally.

[31] Here, the engaging head 200 and the support end part 210 may be formed of a solid synthetic resin or rubber material having elasticity.

[32] Thus, the engaging head 200 and the support end part 210 allows shock that occurs when an object to be processed is grinded due to the operation of the grinder, to be absorbed in the state where the ring-shaped grinder band 10 of the grinder is inserted in the engaging head 200, so that a stable processing work can be performed.

[33] The engaging head 200 and the support end part 210 may be combined with one end of the fixing shaft 100 formed of a metallic material using an adhesive. However, the engaging head 200 and the support end part 210 may be formed as one body directly on one end of the fixing shaft 100 using metallic patterns.

[34] Furthermore, the engaging head 200 and the support end part 210 may be combined with each other using an adhesive or may be formed as one body using metallic patterns.

[35] A plurality of the combining wings 300 are protruded from the circumferential surface of the engaging head 200 so that the ring-shaped grinder band 10 of the grinder can be fixedly inserted in the engaging head 200.

[36] In other words, a plurality of the combining wings 300 are formed on the circumferential surface of the engaging head 200 so as to be interposed between the grinder band 10 and the engaging head 200.

[37] The combining wings 300 may be formed of a material having ductility. More particularly, like the engaging head 200 and the support end part 210, the combining wings 300 may be formed of a solid synthetic resin or rubber material having elasticity.

[38] Here, each of the combining wings 300 may be formed to be spaced apart from one another by the circumference of the engaging head 200 so as to be parallel to the fixing shaft 100.

[39] In other words, the combining wings 300 are formed to be spaced apart from one another by the circumference of the engaging head 200 so as to be parallel to the fixing shaft 100 so that deformation due to an inertial force occurs when the fixing shaft 100

is rotated at a high speed.

[40] In this way, the combining wings 300 are formed of a material having ductility with elasticity. Thus, even when the inner diameter of the ring-shaped grinder band 10 is different from the outer diameter of the engaging head 200, the grinder band 10 can be fixedly inserted in the engaging head 200.

[41] In other words, the combining wings 300 are maintained in the state where the grinder band 10 is fixed at the engaging head 100 due to an elastic expansion force in a compressed state according to the inner diameter of the ring-shaped grinder band 10 of the grinder, as illustrated in FIG. 5. Alternatively, as illustrated in FIG. 6, when the inner diameter of the grinder band 10 is greater than the outer diameter that is obtained by adding the outer diameter of the engaging head 200 and the outer diameter of the combining wings 300, the combining wings 300 are folded in the inner diameter of the grinder band 10 while it is deformed by an inertial force when the fixing shaft 100 is rotated at a high speed due to the operation of the grinder so that the grinder band 10 can be fixedly engaged with the engaging head 200.

[42] Thus, the combining wings 300 allow the ring-shaped grinder band 10 of the grinder to be fixedly inserted in the engaging head 200. Thus, even when the fixing shaft 100 is rotated at a high speed due to the operation of the grinder, the grinder band 10 can be prevented from escaping from the engaging head 200.

[43] In this way, in the jig for fixing the grinder band according to the present invention, the plurality of combining wings 300 having ductility are disposed at the circumferential surface of the engaging head 200 so that, even when the inner diameter of the ring-shaped grinder band 10 is different from the outer diameter of the engaging head 200 or the outer diameter that is obtained by adding the outer diameter of the engaging head 200 and the outer diameter of the combining wings 300, the grinder band 10 can be fixedly inserted in the engaging head 200. Thus, the ring-shaped grinder band 10 can be easily mounted and the grinder band 10 can be prevented from escaping from the engaging head 200 when the fixing shaft 100 is rotated at a high speed.

[44] While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the following claims.
