Abstract:

This method for overlapping and joining plate-shaped sections of a first metal member 2 and a second metal member 3 formed from different materials includes: a first step in which through-holes that mutually communicate when overlapped are formed in the plate-shaped section of the first metal member 2 and the plate-shaped section of the second metal member 3; a second step in which a first joining member 4, made of a metal material, is disposed on the side of the plate-shaped section of the first metal member 2 opposite from the second metal member 3; a third step in which, with the plate-shaped sections of the first metal member 2 and the second metal member 3 being overlapped, a second joining member 5, made of the same metal material as the first joining member 4, is inserted through the first metal member 2 from the second metal member side via the through-holes; and a fourth step in which the first joining member 4 and the second joining member 5 are welded and the first metal member 2 and the second metal member 3 are joined by the first joining member 4 and the second joining member 5.
