Abstract:
This joint (10) for dissimilar materials, which is applied to a structure-supporting member (5) that supports a structure (4) fabricated from a metal that differs from that constituting a ship hull (2), is provided with the following: a first joint member (11) that is joined to a hull-side member (6); and a second joint member (12) that is fillet welded to a structure-side member (7) and friction-stir welded to the first joint member (11). A first join surface (14) on the first joint member (11) and a second join surface (15) on the second joint member (12) are in surface contact with each other and formed so as to be substantially flat. The two joint members (11, 12) are joined to each other at a plurality of friction-stir-welding parts (21) that are lined up in a width direction and extend in a long direction. A pair of fillet-welding parts (23) are each provided so as to extend from a side surface (20) of the structure-side member (7) to a weld surface (16) opposite the second join surface (15). Each fillet-welding part (23) is disposed so as to overlap at least one of the friction-stir-welding parts (21) when viewed from the direction of the normal of the second join surface (15).
