The purpose of the present invention is to provide a joint operation system, editing control program, and editing control method, which, in a joint operation among a plurality of terminals, reflects an edit which is carried out with one of the terminals promptly and appropriately in display data of the other terminals, improving display synchronization performance among the terminals. A control unit (editing control program) of each client terminal which carries out a joint operation: receives, from a server, display data for displaying one or a plurality of objects; causes a display unit to display a screen based on the display data; accepts an operation which is performed with an operation unit; assesses whether an edit operation has been carried out with respect to a prescribed object; and, if it is assessed that the edit operation has been carried out with respect to the prescribed object, carries out a control so as to transmit edit information which indicates a description of the edit operation to the server and the other terminals. The other terminals cause the display units thereof to display a screen whereupon the prescribed object has been edited, on the basis of the display data which is received from the server and the edit information which is received from the terminal.
