Title:
JOINT STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/170213
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This joint structure is provided with: a first homogeneous metal material having a first protrusion; a second homogeneous metal material capable of being welded to the first homogeneous metal material; and a heterogeneous material which has a first pass-through section provided therein, is sandwiched between the first and second homogeneous metal materials, and is difficult to weld to the first and second homogeneous metal materials. The first protrusion is smaller than the diameter or width of the first pass-through section, and a first gap is provided between the first protrusion and the first pass-through section. The first protrusion is inserted into the first pass-through section, and a second gap, i.e. a space in the first pass-through section in the plate thickness direction, is provided. The first protrusion is arc welded from the plate thickness direction. The size of the second gap is a prescribed size with respect to the plate thickness of the first protrusion at the side irradiated with arc. The first and second homogeneous metal materials are melted and joined to each other through the first pass-through section, and the heterogeneous material is compressed and fixed, and thus the heterogeneous material and the first and second homogeneous metal materials are fixed together.
