| 1. | A method of manufacturing Jute ribbed loop with cut pile on rugs and carpets comprises of following steps. a. The yarns, which are wounded on warping machine, will be re wounded on beams of each loop, for the above products three separate beams are required i.e. tight chain beam, slack chain beam and loop / cut pile beam. These three separate beams are loaded on the back side of the loom, where each one is indented for "Tight Chain Beam" gives the stiffiiess for the carpet, the "Slack Chain Beam" holds closely on the later sides of the loop/ cut pile ends firmly, which helps pile / loop strands erect firmly in its position. b. Each ends from the separate beams are taken to the front portion of the loom over its respective cross support separately and drawn through the mail eyes of the heald according to the drafting plan [to get the required design of the carpet], then all the ends are drawn through the dents (reed gap) of the reed, from each reed space one tight chain and two loop ends are allowed to take through each space, after drawing all the ends of the beam these are tied with long ropes by spreading uniformly to the width of the carpet, on a strong iron rod, both ends of the iron rods are previously connected with long ropes on the carpet roller, ( In some case this roller is fitted in the centre or back side of the loom frame), c. Four heald frames with heald are used in the weaving process, the heald frames are connected together with compound pulleys and chain in the top of the loom frame, bottom of the heald frame is tied separately on four treadles which passes lengthwise of the loom frame, according to the tie up and treadling plan the treadle is pushed down and with result only the respective healds will be raised and the rod or weft is passed and the sley is beaten, the grooved rod is inserted only after raising the loop or cut pile ends, just after the insertion of the rod the raised ends are closed and sley is beaten, as per tie up and treadling plan treadles are operated and the required ends are raised and passed with weft again close the opening and slay beats, this operation helps the holding grip of the loop / cut pile ends from all the four side firmly, with the help of a cutting knife cut the loop end as per the required design and pull back the grooved rod, after weaving about one feet length the carpet is wound on the carpet roller and this operation is repeated for getting the required length of the carpet. |
| 2. | A method of manufacturing Jute Ribbed Loop using a grooved rod tool for a loop with cut pile rug or carpet, wherein the new product using the grooved rod, the loop and the rug will absorb more dust and dirty particles on account of the space available in the entire product; because of loop facility the same will absorb more moisture when compared with other mats. |
This invention in general relates to agriculture-based industries. Further the invention relates to the field of natural fiber production. More particularly this invention relates to a method of manufacture of jute-ribbed loop using a grooved rod "tool" for a loop with cut pile rugs and carpets. Further the invention relates to a system of manufacture of jute-ribbed loop with cut pile rugs and carpets using a grooved rod "tool" for a loop with cut pile rugs and carpets. Prior Art
As regards to ordinary carpets and brush mats there are no inteπnittent loops and ribs, whereas in the new product using the grooved rod when a cut pile or non-cut pile rug or carpet is concerned, the loop and the rib will absorb more dust and dirty particles on account of the space available in the entire product because of the loop facility; the same will absorb more moisture when compared with other mats.
It is to be noted that the prior art description gives in detail information of the technology, method, process and system known in the art. 90 DETAILED DESRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF INVENTION
The construction of jute-ribbed loop with cut pile rugs and carpets, done on traditional handlooms makes it a unique product in its segment. This technique can be used to weave any form of design/shape/pattern and size.
This also can be made in a different variety of colours. 95 Now the invention will be described in detail with reference to the following description bearing the sequence of manufacturing process in order to obtain carpets and rugs having jute ribbed loop .
Now the invention will be described in detail with reference to drawings, which accompany the complete specification. The nature of the invention 100 and the manner in which invention is to be performed is clearly described in the following description.
The manufacture of the product jute ribbed loop with cut pile rugs and carpets with or without latex backing is a new concept of product in the field of natural fibre products. 105 Manufacturing process
The function of this product is for floor covering with or without latex backing. Jute is used for making the product.
General construction of the carpets and rugs is as follows.
Reed count - HOs
110 Weft / 10cm - 19 or 20 / 10cm [And loop 9 or 10]
War / 10cm - 11, 12 / 10 cm
Diameter of Loop Rod — 6mm grooved iron rod
Variation in these items can be done for getting dense / thick/ grooved
115 carpets. Generally the carpets are woven in sturdy looms. Loom frames, warp beams, warp supports, heald frame, mail eyes, treadles, sley with reeds, carpet guide, cross beam and carpet binding roll are the main members of each loom. The weaving operations are done in the conventional handlooms. Three
120 separate beams are required for this product i.e. tight chain beam, slack chain beam and loop / cut pile beam. The yarns, which are wounded on warping machine, will be re wounded on beams of each loop. These three separate beams are loaded on the back side of the loom, where each one is indented for "Tight Chain Beam" - gives the stifmess for the carpet, the
125 "Slack Chain Beam" - holds closely on the latter sides of the loop/ cut pile ends, which helps pile / loop strands erect firmly in its position. Each ends from the separate beams are taken to the front portion of the loom over its respective cross support separately and drawn through the mail eyes of the heald according to the drafting plan [to get the required
130 design of the carpet]. Then all the ends are drawn through the dents (reed gap) of the reed. From each reed space one tight chain and two loop ends are allowed to take through each space. After drawing all the ends of the beam these are tied with long ropes by spreading uniformly to the width of the carpet, on a strong iron rod. Both ends of the iron rods are previously
135 connected with long ropes on the carpet roller. (In some case this roller is fitted in the centre or backside of the loom frame).
Four heald frames with heald are used in the weaving process. The heald frames are connected together with compound pulleys and chain in the top of the loom frame. Bottom of the heald frame is tied separately on four
140 treadles, which passes lengthwise on the loom frame. According to the tie up and treadling plan the treadle is pushed down and with result only the respective healds will be raised and the rod or weft is passed and the sley is beaten. The grooved rod is inserted only after raising the loop or cut pile ends. Just after the insertion of the rod the raised ends are closed and sley
145 is beaten. As per tie up and treadling plan treadles are operated and the required ends are raised and passes with weft, again close the opening and slay beats. This operation helps the holding grip of the loop / cut pile ends from all the four sides firmly. With the help of a cutting knife cut the loop end as per the required design and pull back the grooved rod. After
150 weaving about one feet length, the carpet is wound on the carpet roller. This operation is repeated for getting the required length of the carpet. Salient features of the product
1. The product because of its uniqueness in construction increases the aesthetic design.
155 2. Traditional and conventional methods of weaving are used for the manufacturing of the product.
3. Jute is the natural product used whereby carpets and rugs are environment friendly.
4. Because of groove in the rod, one can obtain both cut pile and non-cut 160 pile rugs/carpets with different designs.
5. In order to make the product no machine is involved and by handwork cut pile process is executed.
The invention has been explained in relation to specific embodiments. It is inferred that the forgoing description is only illustrative of the present
165 invention and it is not indented that the invention be limited or restricted thereto. Many other specific embodiments of the present invention will be apparent to one skilled in the art from the forgoing disclosure. All substitutions, alterations and modifications of the present invention, which come with in the scope of the following claims, are to which the present
170 invention is readily susceptible without departing the spirit of the invention.
The scope of the invention should therefore be determined not with the reference to the above description but should be determined with reference to appended claims along with full scope of equivalents to which such
175 claims are entitled.
