Title:
KAPLAN TURBINE HAVING ADJUSTABLE BLADES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/167286
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a Kaplan turbine or other continuous flow machine, comprising the following features or components: a hub which supports a plurality of blades by means of drive journals; the drive journals can be rotated around the longitudinal axis thereof by means of a control cross; a shaft, one end of which engages with the control cross and on the other end of which a back-and-forth movement is initiated by means of a drive. The invention is characterized by the following features: the drive-side end of the shaft has a first piston having a larger diameter, which is axially movable in a first cylinder; a second piston having a smaller diameter plunges into the first cylinder, which is guided in a second cylinder; there is a compensating line which produces a conductive connection between the inner chamber of the second cylinder before the second piston and the interior chamber of the first cylinder after the first piston.
