Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a keratoconjunctival protecting agent or a keratoconjunctival disorder inhibiting agent having an outstanding effect in suppressing keratoconjunctival disorders. This invention comprises: a keratoconjunctival protecting agent or keratoconjunctival disorder inhibiting agent having glucosylglycerol as an active component; use of glucosylglycerol for manufacturing a drug for protecting the conjunctiva and cornea or an agent for inhibiting disorders of the conjunctiva and cornea; and a method for protecting the conjunctiva and cornea or inhibiting disorders of the conjunctiva and cornea which involves injection of glucosylglycerol.
