Abstract:
A key board in which a key which, despite the use of a material substitute for lead,
can be simply installed in the keyboard to reduce assembling cost of the keyboard
and which can maintain sufficient weight holding force for a long period even
if a weight embedding hole is deformed. The key has a pivotable key body (2) having
the embedding hole (8) formed in it and the weight (4) formed from a composite material
having predetermined specific gravity and formed by blending metal other than
lead and a synthetic resin at a predetermined blending rate. The weight (4) has
hardness not more than that of the key body (2) and has a recovery ratio not less
than a predetermined level, where the recovery ratio is the ratio between the
amount of deformation of the weight when it is deformed by external force and the
amount of recovery of the weight from the deformation when the external force
is removed.
