Abstract:
Further improved expressiveness as a keyboard instrument is achieved while ease in performing music is ensured. Provided is a keyboard instrument in which multiple keys lined up in order are each supported so as to be rotatable around a supporting point, wherein: the keys are divided into groups consisting of first keys, of second keys and of third keys, respectively; key sections are vertically laid and formed in plural stages, the key sections having a configuration in which keys in each of these groups are laterally lined up with the groups being arranged from the front in the order corresponding to the first keys, the second key and the third keys; each adjacent two of the first keys, which have pitches different by a whole step from pitches of adjacent keys, have cutouts respectively formed in mutually facing portions thereof, and two of the second keys are arranged therein; these adjacent two of the second keys have cutouts respectively formed in mutually facing portions thereof, and one of the third keys is arranged therein; and the pitches of the first and second keys that are adjacent to each other are, and those of the second and third keys that are adjacent to each other are, different from each other by a quarter step.
