Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a keyless entry device which makes it possible to reduce erroneous control by definitively verifying the activation of a portable device, even when a user is carrying an information device. [Solution] This keyless entry device is equipped with a vehicle-side device for transmitting a signal on a first frequency and provided on the vehicle side, and a portable device for transmitting a signal on a second frequency and capable of being carried by a user. The portable device transmits a data signal based on the receiving strength of a measurement signal transmitted from the vehicle-side device, and the vehicle-side device performs a prescribed control on the basis of the data based on the receiving strength of the measurement signal and transmitted by the portable device. The vehicle-side device transmits an activation signal to the portable device, and upon receiving the activation signal, the portable device transmits a request signal or an indication signal during each prescribed interval to the vehicle-side device. The vehicle-side device transmits a measurement signal to the portable device each time the request signal or indication signal is received.
