Abstract:
A kiln comprises a cylindrical kiln body; an iron sheath disposed over the inside surface of the kiln; and a refractory lining composed of multiple refractory blocks disposed over the inside of the iron sheath. Each of the multiple refractory blocks has a hexagonal end face on the working surface side that is exposed in the center of the kiln and a hexagonal end face on the back surface side that is disposed toward the outer circumference of the kiln and is larger than the end face on the working surface side. The multiple refractory blocks are disposed with the position of the end face on the working surface side matching a predetermined reference position in the diametric direction of the kiln. The multiple refractory blocks are stacked in a honeycomb shape and arranged in the circumferential direction on the inside surface of the iron sheath.
