Abstract:
A kinetic energy recovery device for an electric vehicle, wherein a capacitor battery (7), a storage battery (8), a rotational speed sensor (26), an accelerator pedal (5), a brake pedal (6), a motor (2) and a clutch coupling (4) are respectively electrically connected to a controller (3). The rotational speed sensor (26) is mounted on a motor shaft (21) of the motor (2). The motor shaft (21) and the generator rotor (11) are detachably connected by means of the clutch coupling (4). The generator (1) is electrically connected to the capacitor battery (7). The capacitor battery (7) and the storage battery (8) supply power to the motor (2). The controller (3) controls the disconnection and connection of the clutch coupling (4) based on signals of the rotational speed sensor (26), the accelerator pedal (5) and the brake pedal (6). When the motor shaft (21) of the motor (2) rotates and the clutch coupling (4) is in a connected state, the motor shaft (21) drives the generator rotor (11) to rotate such that the generator (1) generates electricity, which is transmitted to the capacitor battery (7). The device can convert kinetic energy into electric energy when the electric vehicle is coasting, traveling downhill or braking. The electric energy powers the electric vehicle, thereby reducing storage battery power consumption and enhancing the range of the electric vehicle.
