Description:
KIT FOR ACCOMMODATING AND TRANSPORTING TRANSPORTABLE CONTAINERS

The present invention relates to a kit for accommodating and transporting transportable containers.

As is known, transportable containers of the type of trunks or the like, are commercially widespread which comprise two mutually articulated half- shells that delimit a compartment designed to accommodate goods to be transported, such as personal items, clothes, instruments or tools of various kinds.

Especially when the goods to be accommodated and transported are delicate or require particular care, the choice of the materials and dimensions of the walls of the two half-shells is made so as to ensure a rigidity and strength that are sufficient to withstand even intense impacts and stresses, which otherwise might damage said goods.

Likewise, the coupling between the two half-shells is often provided in such a way as to ensure the hermetic seal of the compartment, so as to prevent the unwanted entry of dust, water or other impurities.

Furthermore, laces, pockets, nets or other retention elements for the goods of interest are usually provided inside the trunk in order to ensure tidy accommodation and/or prevent any damage from being caused by mutual impacts or impacts against the walls by leaving the possibility of movement inside the compartment.

However, the constructive choices indicated above entail an increase in the weight of the trunks, making them suitable only for large-scale transfers, whereas in daily use, or for small transfers, it is more practical to merely pick up and move only the specific goods of interest.

Consider for example delicate equipment such as rifles or other weapons, with which armed forces or military corps are equipped: for large- scale transfers, trunks of the type described above are very useful, since they ensure optimum transport conditions and ensure the integrity of the load, which is particularly subject to damage in case of infiltrations of water or dust or in case of violent impacts. At the same time, the individual user certainly cannot move the entire trunk when he/she is on a mission or in any case is performing his/her task, and therefore must be able to move the rifle independently.

More generally, regardless of the dimensions and weight of the trunk, the need often occurs to use only part of its content and therefore various solutions are adopted for the ordered accommodation of specific tools or kits which allow practical pickup thereof and facilitate the independent transport thereof.

Among these solutions, therefore, it is possible to list various types of bags, sacs, cases or other enclosures, which however often are not effective in ensuring the dual goal of guaranteeing both practical and stable accommodation within the trunk and convenient methods for pickup and independent transport;

The aim of the present invention is to solve the problems described above, by providing a kit that allows to accommodate in a practical manner objects and goods of various kinds within a transportable container of the type of a truck, at the same time ensuring easy methods for the independent transport thereof.

Within this aim, an object of the invention is to provide a transportable container that allows to accommodate inside it in a practical manner objects and goods of various kinds, ensuring at the same time easy methods for the independent transport thereof.

Another object of the invention is to provide a kit that is versatile and offers various methods for the independent transport of objects and goods of interest, according to the specific requirements.

Another object of the invention is to provide a kit that ensures stable accommodation of objects and goods when they are transported inside the reference transportable container. Another object of the invention is to provide a kit that allows to accommodate in a practical manner rifles or other weapons inside a transportable container of the type of a trunk, at the same time ensuring easy methods for independent transport.

Another object of the invention is to provide a kit and a transportable container that ensure high reliability in operation.

Another object of the invention is to propose a kit and a transportable container that adopt a technical and structural architecture that is alternative to those of solutions of the known type.

Another object of the invention is to provide a kit and a transportable container that have modest costs and are safe in application.

Another object of the invention is to provide a kit and a transportable container that can be obtained easily starting from commonly commercially available elements and materials.

This aim and these and other objects that will become better apparent hereinafter are achieved by a kit according to claim 1 and by a container according to claim 1 1.

Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of the kit and of the transportable container according to the invention, illustrated by way of nonlimiting example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:

Figure 1 is a perspective view of the kit according to the invention in the active configuration, accommodated in a transportable container according to the invention;

Figure 2 is a top view of a bag of the kit of Figure 1 ;

Figure 3 is a bottom view of a bag of the kit of Figure 1 ;

Figure 4 is a perspective view of the individual transport of a bag of the kit of Figure 1 ;

Figure 5 is a perspective view of the joint transportation of the bags of the kit of Figure 1 in the active configuration.

With reference to the figures, the reference numeral 1 generally designates a kit for accommodating and transporting transportable containers 100, which are also the subject of the present description (and of the protection claimed therewith), like the kit 1 itself. The kit 1 can in fact be provided (sold) separately or be marketed together with the container 100 (as a useful accessory thereof).

The transportable containers 100 comprise a shell 101 , which forms at least one internal compartment 102 in which it is possible to accommodate and transport objects, such as tools, utensils, instruments and/or clothing. As will become better apparent hereinafter, according to one of the particularities of the invention the kit 1 also can be accommodated effectively in the compartment 102.

It should be noted that in the preferred application, and in the accompanying Figure 1 , the container 100 is a sort of trunk in which the shell 101 is composed of two mutually articulated half-shells 103, which are made of rigid and non-deformable material so as to ensure high resistance to impacts and stresses. In this context, the trunk is used preferably for activities of a professional kind that require the transport of delicate instruments and tools (transport which indeed occurs by virtue of the container 100 and the kit 1, as will become better apparent in the pages that follow).

It is in any case appropriate to point out that the protective scope claimed herein includes containers 100 of a different type, both foi ¬ professional use and simply for leisure travel or trips.

According to the invention, the kit 1 comprises a pair of bags 2 which are shaped like a prism with bases 2a shaped like a right-angled triangle. Each bag 2 can be made of any material but is preferably made of a polymeric material that combines sufficient deformability with high resistance to tearing and lacerations. The bags 2 can be transported individually (as in Figure 4) by means of respective facilitated transport elements and, by virtue of the particular prism-like shape with bases 2a shaped like a right-angled triangle, they can be arranged side by side in an active configuration with an overall space occupation that is substantially shaped like a parallelepiped (in which the bags 2 are shown in Figures 1 and 5). It should be noted in this regard that evidently the active configuration can be obtained simply by arranging side by side the two bags 2 so as to make the hypotenuses of the respective bases 2a match up.

In the active configuration (by virtue of the space occupation thus obtained), the bags 2 can be arranged within the container 100 substantially so as to fully occupy at least one layer of the compartment 102 (or the entire compartment 102), as in Figure 1.

It should be noted that in this particular arrangement (which of course can be obtained by taking care to choose appropriately the external dimensions of the bags 2 and of the compartment 102), the bags 2 are in a stable position, unwanted movements inside the shell 101 being avoided, thus without any danger of mutual impacts or impacts against the internal walls of the container 100.

Moreover, the bags 2 are provided with mutual coupling means 3, which can be activated in the active configuration to facilitate their joint transportation (as for example in Figure 5), independently of the respective container 100. It is specified in any case that the means 3 can also be activated when the bags 2 are accommodated in the container 100, in order to further increase the stability of their placement.

It should be noted therefore that the kit 1 according to the invention offers at least three different modes of transport of the bags 2: they can in fact be accommodated in the container 100, completely occupying the compartment 102 or a layer thereof, or be transported separately from it, individually (by virtue of the facilitated transport elements) or jointly (by virtue of the mutual coupling means 3).

In particular, the facilitated transport elements comprise respective shoulder straps 4 (Figure 3), which are fixed to the corresponding bags 2. Even more particularly, in the embodiment shown in the accompanying figures by way of nonlimiting example of the application of the invention, each shoulder strap 4 is fixed to a respective base 2a of the corresponding bag 2 and is arranged parallel to the longest of the two catheti of said base 2a.

By arranging and orienting in this manner the shoulder strap 4, the individual bag 2 can first of all be supported effectively by a shoulder of the user A and therefore be transported conveniently, independently of the container 100 (and of the other bag 2), as in Figure 4.

Furthermore, indeed by virtue of the choice to arrange each shoulder strap 4 parallel to the longest of the two catheti of the respective base 2a, in the active configuration the two shoulder straps 4 are mutually parallel (and adequately spaced, if care has been taken to arrange each shoulder strap 4 proximate to the respective longer cathetus) and therefore said two shoulder straps 4 act as respective backpack straps for joint transport of the two bags 2 like a backpack (Figure 5).

It should be specified in any case that fixing each shoulder strap 4 to the respective bag 2 so as to obtain a different orientation of the former with respect to the latter is not excluded. For example, by anchoring the shoulder strap 4 to the (base 2a of the) bag 2 so as to keep it substantially parallel to the hypotenuse of the latter (or in any case inclined with respect to the longer cathetus), it is possible to define a different useful configuration in certain applications, in order to offer a different mode of (individual) transport of the bag 2.

Indeed to increase the versatility of the invention and therefore allow to vary at will the arrangement of the shoulder strap 4 to the bag 2, a detachable coupling between them is provided, with the possibility to provide anchoring according to different configurations (orientations). For example, the kit 1 according to the invention can comprise at least two hooks (or the like) which are anchored to the base 2a of at least one of the bags 2, one for example arranged proximate to the longer cathetus and the other proximate to the hypotenuse, substantially at the same transverse height: while one end of the shoulder strap is kept fixed, it is possible to anchor selectively to each hook the other end of the shoulder strap 4 (which for this purpose is provided for example with a spring-clip or the like). Thus, by varying the hook to which the free end of the shoulder strap 4 is to be anchored, the orientation of the latter with respect to the bag 2 is evidently modified, obtaining different configurations when the latter is transported while hanging from the shoulder of the user A, as a function of the specific requirements.

In any case, it is not excluded to render detachable also the coupling of the other end of the shoulder strap 4, in order to increase the configurations that can be provided and/or allow to remove said shoulder strap 4 temporarily.

In an embodiment of considerable practical interest, which is mentioned by way of nonlimiting example of the application of the invention, the mutual coupling means 3 comprise at least one tape 5, which is applied stably with a first portion 5a on one bag 2, and at least one eyelet 6, which is fixed to the other bag 2.

The first portion 5a and a second portion 5b of the tape 5 (which is contiguous to the first one and, differently from the first one, can move freely), are provided with a mutual closure system of the type of Velcro (which is a registered trademark), which can be activated following the insertion of the second portion 5b in the eyelet 6 and its subsequent folding back onto the first portion 5a.

In any case, it is not excluded to adopt closure systems of another type (by resorting for example to clips, buttons or others), which are in any case within the protective scope claimed herein.

Although it is not excluded to provide kits 1 in which a single tape 5 is arranged on a single bag 2 and a single eyelet 6 is fixed only to the other bag 2, the kit 1 according to the invention can provide for the application, to each bag 2, of a first portion 5a of a respective tape 5 (and therefore a respective tape 5 is associated with each bag 2), and for the fixing to each bag 2 of a respective eyelet 6 for the insertion of the second portion 5b of the corresponding tape 5.

In a further possible embodiment of the kit 1 according to the invention, a first portion 5a of a respective tape 5 is applied to each base 2a of each bag 2 (and therefore two respective tapes 5 are associated on opposite sides with each bag 2), each first portion 5a being arranged parallel to the shorter of the two catheti of the corresponding base 2a. Likewise, a pair of eyelets 6 is fixed to a pair of contiguous edges of each bag 2 in order to insert therein the second portions 5b of the corresponding tapes 5.

It is useful in any case to specify that it is not excluded to provide each bag 2 with a yet different number of tapes 5 and/or eyelets 6, even distributed and/or oriented differently from what has been described above (and what is shown in the figures).

Conveniently, the elements (also) comprise at least one handle 7, which is fixed to at least one corresponding bag 2 and can be used as an alternative to the shoulder strap 4 for the individual transport of the bag 2.

Therefore, while the shoulder strap 4 allows to support with one shoulder the corresponding bag 2, the handle 7 can be gripped with one hand and evidently offers the user A a different mode of transport of said bag 2.

It should also be noted that each bag 2 is provided with two handles 7, which are fixed on mutually opposite bases 2a and can also be mutually coupled in order to ensure an optimum grip.

Usefully, the kit 1 can also comprise at least one padding on at least one shoulder strap 4 (and optionally on all of them) and/or on at least one base 2a of at least one bag 2 (and optionally on all the bases 2a of all the bags 2).

Resorting to one or more paddings achieves several advantages: they in fact offer a more pleasant resting for the back of the user A (or to other anatomical parts in contact with the bag 2 and/or the shoulder strap 4) and, by forming a region that is raised with respect to the rest of the bag 2, allow a better circulation of air, which in turn facilitates optimum vapor permeation and reduces the risk of discomfort.

Favorably, the kit 1 according to the invention comprises at least one pouch 8, which is fixed externally to a base 2a of at least one bag 2, in order to be able to accommodate therein documents and small items, to be transported therefore together with said bag 2 and also separately from the container 100.

A strip 9 of Velcro (which is a registered trademark) is applied along the outer surface of the pouch 8 for provision for the fixing of tags, labels or the like.

Positively, the kit 1 according to the invention comprises a pocket 10 (typically but not exclusively made of transparent polymeric material) which is applied externally to at least one base 2a in order to accommodate cards, badges and the like.

In order to ensure greater practicality in use, straps, elastic bands, additional bands made of Velcro (which is a registered trademark) or similar retention systems are also arranged inside the bags 2, in order to stabilize and lock the objects accommodated within them and avoid any movement thereof.

As anticipated earlier, an object of the present description is also a transportable container 100, which comprises a shell 101 (preferably but not exclusively composed of two mutually articulated half-shells 103), which forms at least one internal compartment 102 for accommodating and transporting objects.

According to the invention, the container 100 comprises a kit 1 according to one or more of the specifications and particularities described in the preceding pages.

The use of the kit and of the container according to the invention is therefore evident from what has been described so far.

As already mentioned in the preceding pages, the kit 1 can in fact be used in various and interesting manners.

After arranging therein the objects that one wishes to transport, the bags 2 can first of all be arranged (in the active configuration) in the container 100, as in Figure 1.

For large-scale transfers, or when in any case one wishes to ensure protection against impacts, dirt, water, etc. (which is indeed offered by the container 100), the bags 2 and their content can thus travel in a practical and safe manner inside the compartment 102, and since the space occupation of the bags 2 (in the active configuration) replicates the compartment 102, or at least a layer thereof, this mode of transport is extremely practical, with certainly stable positioning and optimum occupation of spaces.

It should be noted that indeed when the objects to be transported are delicate or in any case require particular care, the container 100 can provide various refinements to ensure optimum protection, such as the choice of sufficiently rigid materials, thickening of the walls, gaskets for a hermetic seal, etc.

If the user A wishes to move only the objects (or object) accommodated in a single bag 2, or if one wishes to move the two bags 2 without the container 100 (which, due to its weight, and space occupation, can sometimes be a hindrance), the kit 1 offers practical modes of independent transport.

Each bag 2 can in fact be picked up and transported individually and independently by utilizing the respective shoulder strap 4 or the I I

corresponding handles 7.

Furthermore, in the active configuration the user A can activate the mutual coupling means 3 in order to transform in practice the two bags 2 into a backpack (the shoulder straps 4 becoming its respective backpack straps), thus allowing a mode of transport of said two bags 2 (and of their content) that is extremely practical and easy.

The kit 1 is therefore certainly versatile, offering different and interesting modes of transport of the objects contained in the bag or bags 2.

In this regard, it should be noted that the bags 2 can accommodate substantially any object, tool or instrument according to the specific requirements.

Versatility can be increased by ensuring the possibility to vary the inclination of the shoulder strap 4 with respect to the bag 2, as shown in the preceding pages.

In an application of particular practical interest, which does not limit the invention, each bag 2 is designed to accommodate a rifle and, in view of its narrow and elongated shape, in this application also each bag 2 has a similar narrow and elongated shape (as in the accompanying figures).

It should be noted in this regard that the transport of weapons by military personnel, agents and armed forces poses multiple problems which are solved absolutely effectively by the kit 1 and by the container 100 according to the invention.

First of all, in fact, when use of the rifle is not required or in any case during large-scale transfers, the bags 2 can be arranged in the active configuration inside the container 100 (with the rifles inside, optionally rendered perfectly integral with the bags 2 themselves by virtue of the retention systems already mentioned, in order to avoid any small movement inside them). Even if transfer occurs in such conditions as to expose the container 100 to water, sand (consider trips in the desert, at sea or in any case in the open air, as often occurs with military corps), the container 100 avoids the danger that dust, humidity, drops of water, impurities of various kinds might enter the compartment 102 and thus damage the rifles.

When the user A must operate, or in any case needs to move with the rifle without being burdened by the container 100, he/she can pick up a single bag 2 and transport it with the shoulder strap 4 or the handle 7.

Finally, the user A can also transport both rifles inside the respective bags 2, using them as a backpack when they are in the active configuration, and the mutual coupling means 3 have been activated beforehand.

In any case it is useful to point out again that rifles are only one possible application of the invention, since it is possible to arrange in the bags 2 (which are optionally not narrow and elongated) other instruments, tools or objects in general according to the specific requirements and in any field of application.

As already shown, the paddings, the pouches 8 and the pockets 10 (as well as the systems for retention inside the bags 2) offer additional advantages and functionalities, making the kit 1 and the container 100 according to the invention even more attractive and particular.

In practice it has been found that the kit and the container according to the invention achieve fully the intended aim, since resorting to a pair of bags shaped like a prism with bases shaped like a right-angled triangle, which can be transported individually by means of respective facilitated transport elements and can be arranged side by side in an active configuration that has an overall space occupation substantially shaped like a parallelepiped, with the bags provided with mutual coupling means which can be activated in the active configuration, allows to accommodate in a practical manner objects and goods of various kinds inside the transportable container, at the same time ensuring easy methods of independent transport thereof.

The invention thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims; all the details may further be replaced with other technically equivalent elements.

In the exemplary embodiments shown, individual characteristics, given in relation to specific examples, may actually be interchanged with other different characteristics that exist in other exemplary embodiments.

In practice, the materials used, as well as the dimensions, may be any according to the requirements and the state of the art.

Where technical features mentioned in any claim are followed by reference signs, those reference signs have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and accordingly such reference signs do not have any limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by such reference signs.
