Abstract:
The group of inventions relates to endocrinology. A daily oral dosage kit for the prophylaxis of type 1 diabetes mellitus includes effective amounts of substances from 1) the group of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, 2) the group of proton pump inhibitors (PPI), 3) gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) or a GABA receptor agonist. A method for the prophylaxis of type 1 diabetes mellitus includes administering the given substances to individuals in a group with a high risk of developing type 1 diabetes mellitus. The group of inventions makes it possible to prevent the onset of the disease in healthy individuals in a high-risk group.
