Abstract:
A kitchen cabinet is fixed by tenon and mortise joints without clamping element.
Tenons are provided on the front and back sides of two side panels (1). Corresponding
mortises into which the tenons are inserted are provided on both sides of inner
face of the cabinet frame and on both sides of inner face of a back-panel respectively.
Two grooves on the side panels are respectively connected with a bottom panel
(3) and a spacer panel (4) by insertion. The lower end on front of the frame is fixed
together with a lower panel (6) by fastening pieces. Tenons on the front and back
sides of side panels of a drawer are inserted into mortises on both sides of interior
of face panel of the drawer and mortises on both sides of back-panel of the drawer
respectively. Two sides of bottom panel of the drawer are inserted into grooves
on two side panels. The drawer which consists of the face panel, the back panel,
the side panels and the bottom panel is rested on supports provided on the frame
and the two side panels. The kitchen cabinet has many advantages, such as simple
structure, without clamping elements, low cost, long life and so on.
