The invention relates to a household kitchen device for cleaning impurities and dirt adhered to fresh fruit and vegetables, which is used to clean and prepare the fruit and vegetables before use for cooking or preparing meals or food or storage in a cooling device. The device is metallic, with an openable and closable side door, and contains: a rotatable cylindrical metallic mesh basket which has an openable and closable cover, and inside of which the fruit and vegetables are placed for washing, the basket having a mesh section that allows water to be poured, and mesh partitions; an internal, fixed plastic spray arm that sprays water and air onto the cylindrical mesh basket; switches for controlling locations for pouring the water through the spray arm according to the quantity; an inlet for clean water; a pump; a motor; a spray arm; and an outlet for used water. A special box that is periodically refilled can be used to introduce clean water, and a plastic box that can be periodically emptied can be used for the used water. The device further comprises an inlet for a substance for cleaning, a control panel, a strainer for removing impurities, a motor for rotating the internal cylinder, and a scrubbing brush. The device cleans and disinfects.
