Abstract:

Provided is a knit fabric wherein stretching in the longitudinal direction is restricted despite the fabric being a knit and which has the stretch and softness appropriate for a business shirt as well as breathability and shape retention. The knit fabric for business shirts is characterized in that: the fabric is a single-knit fabric having as the basic structure thereof a pattern structure wherein the proportion of the number of welts to the number of knit loops is 0.20-1.10; courses density is 40-100/2.54 cm, and wales density is 30-80/2.54 cm; and elongation rate (EMT) in the longitudinal direction is 3-25% and elongation (EMT) in the transverse direction is 8-40%.
