Abstract:
A knit fastener stringer (10) comprises a warp knitting fastener tape (11) having a tape main body portion (11a) and an element attaching portion (11b) formed at the first side edge of the tape main body portion (11a), wherein a coil-shaped or zigzag continuous element array (12) is knitted and fixed to the element attaching portion (11b) of the warp knitting fastener tape (11) simultaneously with the knitting of the fastener tape (11). The tape main body portion (11a) has, at least, a tricot knitting yarn (20), a first weft insertion yarn (21) traveling in zigzag across two or more wales, and a second weft insertion yarn (22) traveling in zigzag across two or more wales including the wale (W13) at the outermost edge of the tape main body portion (11a). Furthermore, in the wale (W13) at the outermost edge of the fastener tape (11), every other course has no warp, and the first weft insertion yarn (21) and the second weft insertion yarn (22) are weft-inserted alternately in the direction of the wale. With such a knit fastener stringer (10), the elasticity and flexibility of the fastener tape (11) is enhanced, an excellent appearance quality is ensured, and, when the fastener stringer is applied to a product to be worn, warping of the fastener tape (11) and waving creases on the tape surface of the fastener tape (11) can be prevented.
