Abstract:
A knitting machine comprises a motor for driving a roller from which a yarn is fed out on the basis of knitting data used in the knitting machine and a rotatable buffer which stores the yarn fed out from the roller. The yarn is fed from the buffer to a knitting machine body. The knitting machine comprises a torque generator which applies a variable torque to the buffer and a control means for controlling the torque generator for each knitting portion on the basis of the knitting data to optimize the yarn tension. The yarn tension is optimized by optimizing the torque to be applied to the buffer.
