Abstract:
Provided is a knob with an erroneous operation prevention function with which unanticipated rotation can be prevented, and with which a device is not easily damaged even when rotational force is applied when the knob is in the locked state. This knob with an erroneous operation prevention function is characterized by being equipped with an inside component and an outside component, with the inside component being affixed to a rotary shaft of a rotary-type variable resistor, a rotary switch, or the like, the outside component being rotatably attached to the inside component so as to cover the outer periphery of the side surface of the inside component, the inside component and the outside component having an engaging means, the outside component rotating freely when rotational force alone is applied to the outside component, and the inside component and the outside component engaging and rotating together when the outside component is pulled.
