Abstract:
Provided are an L-shaped retaining wall and an L-shaped retaining wall unit such that the stability against sliding and toppling is enhanced. This L-shaped retaining wall (1) comprises anupright wall (11) which is installed vertically, and a bottom plate (12) which is provided in such a way as to extend horizontally starting at the lower end of the upright wall (11). The upper surface (12a) of the bottom plate (12) is formed obliquely in such a way as to have an obtuse angle with respect to the upright wall (11). At the edge of the bottom plate (12), a pressure wall (13) which is subjected to part of soil pressure acting on the bottom plate (12) is provided in such a way as to project upward.
