Abstract:
Provided are a label fitting method and a label fitting apparatus that are capable of achieving excellent fitting of a cylindrical label to an object subjected to fitting by suppressing deformation of the cylindrical label caused by air resistance. This label fitting method is for fitting a cylindrical label (L) to an object (B) subjected to fitting which passes below a mandrel (30) by feeding the cylindrical label (L) downward while fitting the cylindrical label (L) over the mandrel (30) so that the cylindrical label (L) is in an opened state, wherein folds (C) are additionally formed in the cylindrical label so that the number of folds (C) along the label axial direction of the cylindrical label (L) is six or more, and then the cylindrical label (L) is fed downward by a shot roller (60) installed near the lower end of the mandrel (30).
