Abstract:
The present invention relates to a security technology for preventing copying of an article. More particularly, the present invention relates to a label for product authentication and to a method and an apparatus for authenticating the label. The label for product authentication according to the present invention comprises: a carrier layer made of a transparent or semi-transparent material; and a plurality of first reflection particles and second reflection particles disposed at random in the carrier layer. Furthermore, the method for generating an authentication code of a label according to the present invention comprises a step of comparing the difference in brightness between the corresponding grid coordinates of two different images which have been normalized, giving, if the brightness difference falls within a predetermined value range, the code value that classifies the grid coordinate as a complete reflection particle to the relevant grid coordinate, and giving, if the brightness difference is larger than the predetermined value, the code value that classifies the grid coordinate as a deflected reflection particle to the relevant grid coordinate. Furthermore, the label authentication system according to the present invention comprises a label registration device for generating a registration authentication code, a label reader for generating a test authentication code, and a label authentication server. Furthermore, the portable wireless terminal according to the present invention comprises a control unit, a display unit, a camera, a wireless communication module, and a memory device for storing a label authentication application program to be executed in the control unit.
