Abstract:
A link aggregation control protocol (lacp)-based forwarding detection method and system. During the process of realizing forwarding detection of various member ports, a first switch sends a forwarding detection packet to a second switch through an lacp link; and a line card of the second switch detects a condition where a member port thereof receives the forwarding detection packet; if it is detected that the member port receiving the forwarding detection packet has timed out, the member port has gone down, and it is reported to a main control board that the port has gone down; if all member ports of the line card of the second switch have timed out, it is reported to the main control board that the lacp link goes down, and a down notification packet is also sent to other line cards of the second switch at the same time, so that the main control board controls to conduct switching processing on corresponding ports. The line card of the second switch receives the down notification packet, parses same and finds a corresponding port from a locally recorded member port list, and switches the state of the port thereof.
