Abstract:
This lactide recovery method is characterized in that polylactic acid and a depolymerization catalyst are introduced into an extruder 1 leading to a vent chamber 3 kept under reduced pressure, the polylactic acid and the depolymerization catalyst are melted and kneaded in the extruder 1, the melted kneaded substance is supplied into the vent chamber 3, the polylactic acid is depolymerized in the vent chamber 3, and generated lactide is gasified and recovered from the vent chamber 3.
