Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Lactobacillus reuteri JH53 strain having excellent organic acid resistance and conversion of 1,3-propandiol from glycerol, and a use thereof. Since the strain of the present invention has better organic acid resistance and conversion of 1,3-propandiol from glycerol than a parental strain, when the strain of the present invention, which is safe for the human body (GRAS, generally recognized as safe), is used in the process for producing 1,3-propandiol from waste glycerol, unlike conventional GMO strains, the advantages of being safe and eco-friendly and the recycling of resources can be provided, and thus the present invention is very useful in related industries.
