Abstract:
Disclosed is a ladle transport system for calcium carbide, capable of increasing the efficiency of ladle transport operations without requiring operations for re-hanging wires or track switching. A loop track links a product receiving area including a tap opening of a calcium carbide furnace, and a product depositing area separated from the furnace. Multiple ladles and bogies are divided into a first ladle group and a second ladle group, which are positioned on opposite sides of the track. A first wire is connected to the leading bogie in the clockwise direction of the first ladle group, and a second wire is connected to the leading bogie in the counterclockwise direction of the second ladle group. Further, a connecting wire is connected without slack between the last bogie in the clockwise direction of the first ladle group and the last bogie in the counterclockwise direction of the second ladle group. By means of winding the first wire with a first winch, the first ladle group is displaced along the track in the clockwise direction from the product receiving area to the product depositing area. At that time, the second ladle group is pulled from the first ladle group by the connecting wire, and is displaced along the track in the clockwise direction from the product depositing area to the product receiving area.
