Abstract:
Provided is a laminate that includes a thin polarizing plate equipped with a retardation layer, and that has excellent working efficiency in an image display panel manufacturing process. A laminate according to an embodiment of the present invention has a surface protection film, a polarizing plate including a polarizer and a protective layer, a retardation layer, an adhesive layer, and a release film in the stated order, wherein the thickness of a layered portion from the polarizing plate to the adhesive layer is 70 µm or less, the thickness of the release film is 40 µm or greater, the peel force Fr of the release film with respect to the adhesive layer is 0.04 N/25 mm or less, and the peel force Fp of the surface protection film with respect to the polarizing plate is greater than the peel force Fr and no greater than 0.1 N/25 mm.
