Abstract:

Disclosed is a laminate steel sheet for use in a two-piece can, wherein the height (h), the maximum radius (r) and the minimum radius (d) of the finished molded article have the following relationship: 0.1≤d/R≤0.2 and 1.5≤h/(R-r)≤4 wherein R represents the radius of an unmolded disc-shaped sheet having a weight equivalent to that of the finished molded article. The laminate steel sheet has a polyester resin coating layer thereon. The resin of the polyester resin coating layer is produced by the polycondensation between a dicarboxylic acid component and a diol component, wherein the dicarboxylic acid component comprises mainly terephthalic acid and the diol component comprises mainly ethylene glycol and/or butylene glycol. The polyester resin coating layer has a molar fraction of a copolymer component ranging from 8 to 16 mol% (inclusive) and a planer orientation coefficient of 0.06 or less.
