Abstract:
Provided is a highly durable laminated piezoelectric element wherein a conductive connecting member is not disconnected even in the case where the laminated piezoelectric element is continuously driven for a long period of time in a high electric field under high pressure. A laminated piezoelectric element (1) is provided with: a laminated body (7) wherein piezoelectric layers (3) and internal electrode layers (5) are alternately laminated; an external electrode (9) which is bonded to the side surface of the laminated body (7) and is electrically connected to the internal electrode layers (5); and a conductive connecting member (8), which is provided on the surface of the external electrode (9) and repeatedly has recesses and protrusions at least in the laminating direction of the laminated body (7). Since the conductive connecting member (8) can absorb stress generated due to expansion and contraction of the laminated body (7), disconnection of the conductive connecting member (8) due to generation of cracks can be suppressed.
