Abstract:
A lamp base for an energy-saving lamp and the energy-saving lamp are provided. The housing of the lamp base comprises a first housing (30) accommodating a circuit assembly and a second housing (31) accommodating the sealed ends of the fluorescent tube (32); at least a part of said second housing (31) is arranged outside the periphery of the first housing (30). Heat radiating from the sealed ends of the fluorescent tube cannot directly influence the electronic components of the circuit assembly in the first housing, which therefore reduces the impact of such heat generated by the fluorescent tube on the performance of the electronic components of the circuit assembly, thereby prolonging the life-spans of the lamp base and of the energy-saving lamp.
