Abstract:
A lamp cap and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The lamp cap (100) comprises an insulator (110), a spiral conducting wire (120) and a conducting cap (130). The spiral conducting wire (120) is fixed to the outside of the insulator (110), and combined with the insulator to form a conducting external thread which can be screwed to a screw lamp holder. The conducting cap (130) is fixed to the insulator and insulated with the spiral conducting wire (120). The method for manufacturing the lamp cap comprises: step 1 of forming the spiral conducting wire (120); step 2 of encasing the spiral conducting wire into a mold; and step 3 of forming the insulator by injection molding. The spiral conducting wire and the insulator can be fixed together by injection molding. The spiral conducting wire is combined with the insulator to form the conducting external thread which can be screwed to the screw lamp holder. The use of the spiral conducting wire instead of the metal screw shell in the prior art has the following advantages: using less metal material, being simple and artistic in appearance, simplifying the working operation, and increasing the processing efficiency.
