Abstract:

An appropriate shape is specified for a metal cover (32) of a lamp device (12), which uses a GX53-type base (31) and uses LEDs (56) as a light source. The base (31) and a lighting device (36) are disposed on the top surface of the metal cover (32), and a board (33), on which the LEDs (56) are mounted, is disposed on the bottom surface thereof. The metal cover (32) is roughly cylindrical with a maximum diameter (D) of 80‑150 mm and a height (H) of 5‑25 mm, and the surface area of the circumferential surface (2π(D/2)H/W) per total input power (W) to the lamp device (12) is in the range of 200‑800 mm2/W. The total input power (W) is 5‑20 W.
