Abstract:
The invention relates to a lamp (1), especially a taillight, for a motor vehicle, comprising a reflector (2) and a lamp housing (3) whose opening located on the emission side is covered by a cover plate (4). At least one light source (5) that is disposed orthogonal to the main direction (9) of emission of the lamp (1) is provided inside said lamp housing (3). The invention is characterized in that a covering diaphragm (6) is provided which is arranged on a side of the lamp housing (3) that lies opposite the reflector (2), extends substantially between the cover plate (4) and the light source (5), and delimits a reflector space (7). The light source (5) is placed in a gap (8) between the covering diaphragm (6) and the reflector (2) so as to be recessed in relation to the reflector space (7).
