Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lamp having high heat dissipation properties and little risk of electric shock. The lamp (1) comprises: a metal case (60) having a cylindrical main body (61); a semiconductor light-emitting element (12) as a light source, arranged on one end side of the main body (61) in the cylindrical axis direction; a ferrule (70) arranged on the other end side of the main body (61) in the cylindrical axis direction; a circuit unit (40) at least partially housed inside the main body (61), that receives power via the ferrule (70), and causes the semiconductor light-emitting element (12) to emit light; and a cover (80) comprising an electrically insulating material and having a cylindrical outer shell section (81) that covers the outer peripheral surface (65) of the main body (61). A stress-suppressing area (3), that suppresses the application of stress to the outer shell section (81) by thermal deformation of at least one of either the main body (61) or the outer shell section (81), is provided between the outer peripheral surface (65) of the main body (61) and the inner peripheral surface of the outer shell section (81).
