Abstract:
The present invention relates to a lancet block comprising: (a) a lancet 10 comprising a body 11, a needle 13 formed at the bottom of the body 11, and a cam projection 12 of a predetermined length formed at a side of the body 11; and (b) a lancet housing 20 configured such that the lancet 10 is mounted within the lancet housing in such a fashion as to be vertically moved relatively with respect to the lancet housing, the lancet housing being formed in the shape of a box and including a stop projection 21 formed at an outer side thereof and a cam projection-receiving portion formed at an outer side thereof in such a fashion as to be opposed to the stop projection so as to receive the cam projection 12 therein, wherein a top wall of the lancet housing 20 and a side wall of the lancet housing 20 where the cam projection-receiving portion is formed are formed of a thin membrane made of a material capable of being easily disrupted or a material capable of being expanded elastically upon the relative downward movement of the lancet 10 with respect to the lancet housing, and a bottom wall of the lancet housing is formed of a thin membrane made of a material capable of being easily disrupted by a tip of the needle 13 of the lancet 10.
