Abstract:

A landing gear for a rotary-wing aircraft according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises two skid-tubes, and a cross-tube for linking the two skid-tubes and attaching the two skid-tubes to a fuselage of the rotary-wing aircraft, said cross-tube being at least partially composed of a composite material, in order to impart better conditions for both the sufficient absorption of energy when said aircraft lands, and the avoidance of contact with the ground by the fuselage. The rotary-wing aircraft according to one embodiment of the present invention is equipped with the described landing gear in order to impart better conditions for both the sufficient absorption of energy when said aircraft lands, and the avoidance of contact with the ground by the fuselage.
