Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a large-capacity power storage device suitable for large-scale storage of power derived from renewable energy. A power storage device provided with: a charge/discharge cell part in which a positive collector electrode and a negative collector electrode are separated by a partition; a positive electrode storage tank for storing an electrolytic solution containing a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode storage tank for storing an electrolytic solution containing a negative electrode active material; and a circulation pump and liquid delivery pipework for supplying, through circulation, the electrolytic solutions stored in the positive electrode storage tank and the negative electrode storage tank to the positive electrode and the negative electrode, respectively; the power storage device being characterized in that carrier microparticles are contained in the electrolytic solution stored in the negative electrode storage tank, the negative electrode active material is deposited on the surface of the carrier microparticles during charging, and the negative electrode active material dissolves from the carrier microparticles during discharging, whereby charging and discharging are performed.
