Title:
LARGE-SCALE SENSOR NETWORK SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/006048
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to make resource exploration more efficient, it is necessary to make a sensor network large scale, and at the same time, the necessity to expand the area of an exploration region and the necessity to discover with good accuracy deeper strata and crust structures also increase; therefore, it is necessary to operate a large-scale sensor network over a long period of time, such as at least several weeks. In the present invention, to realize the foregoing, it is necessary for the power of a sensor unit to be ON constantly in order for the sensor unit to carry out measurement constantly, but because an auxiliary measurement unit may acquire data at necessary timings, the auxiliary measurement unit is activated intermittently. When collecting or transferring data and charging a battery, a sensor terminal detects whether electrical power is being supplied from a data collection and charging device, the power supply of the sensor unit and the auxiliary measurement unit is automatically turned OFF, and a data transfer unit is activated. Due to this configuration, the following can be achieved: long-term use due to reduced power consumption when acquiring tremor data; improved use-efficiency due to automatic operation-mode switching; and high-speed data transfer.
