Abstract:
A large-size thin-wall ring shell inflation hot-bending forming device and method. The method comprises: welding a first sealing head (11) and a second sealing head (12) on a pipe body (10) to form a sealed pipe fitting; providing a first electrode (1) and a second electrode (2) at two ends of the pipe body (10) to form a closed current loop, and energizing and heating the sealed pipe fitting; introducing compressed gas into the heated sealed pipe fitting; placing the sealed pipe fitting into which the compressed gas has been introduced between a protruding portion of a first mold (4) and a recess portion of a second mold (5), and controlling the temperatures of the first mold (4) and the second mold (5) to carry out bending formation; increasing the pressure of the gas within the bendingly formed sealed pipe fitting such that the bendingly formed sealed pipe fitting attaches to a mold and is shaped; discharging the gas within the shaped sealed pipe fitting and cutting the first sealing head (11), the second sealing head (12) and remnants to obtain formed ring housing sections; and welding multiple formed ring housing sections to obtain a large-size thin-wall ring housing. The device and method improve the heating efficiency of a pipe fitting, prevent the problem in which size is a limitation, and reduce fabrication costs.
