Abstract:
The invention relates to the construction of large-spanned structures; it can be used in the construction and rebuilding of large covered rooms like those intended for shows or sports, such as circuses, arenas, covered stadiums, hangars, warehouses, and so on. The large-spanned structure is comprised of an arched strutted construction, supports, a brace, and a bearing floor structure. The brace is situated directing under the bearing floor structure and supports its weight. The disclosed design enables the size of the spanned structure to be increased significantly (up to 10,000 m?2�), thereby increasing the capacity of the structure insofar as the rise of the arch is lowered. This reduces the amount of materials required, and as a whole considerably reduces the construction and operating costs of the large-spanned structure.
