Title:
LARGE TAPER WIRE CUT ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/088657
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A large taper wire cut electrical discharge machining (WEDM). When machining a workpiece to be processed, a wire rack (32) can move in a fore-and-aft direction or in a left-and-right direction, so as to make an electrode wire (18) deflect a set angle to cut the workpiece to be processed in a large taper. During the movement of the wire rack (32) in the fore-and-aft direction and in the left-and-right direction, the electrode wire section between a front upper guide pulley (10) and a front lower guide pulley (12) and the center lines of the upper and lower guide holes are substantially kept coincident with each other, and the electrode wire section being parallel to the axis line of a connecting rod (14). The electrode wire and the upper and lower guides (6, 7) can only have a slight contact in the coaxial direction, so that the upper and lower guides can always provide a stable and reliable orientation and positioning for the electrode wire, so as not to cause the problems that the guide to be deeply cut, and the damage of the guide and the shortened life of the electrode wire caused by the electrode wire being crimped and broken, thereby improving the processing accuracy and the finish of processing surface.
