Title:
LASER-ARC HYBRID WELDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/059149
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a laser-arc hybrid welding method with which it is possible to control the form of droplet transfer and thereby significantly reduce the occurrence of sputtering, and to set a low welding current and thereby minimize heat deformation and the effects of heat accompanying welding. The present invention is a laser-arc hybrid welding method in which the minimum diameter DMIN (mm) of droplets transferring from a welding steel wire to a molten pool produced by gas-shielded arc welding satisfies the relationship DMIN ≥ (P/15) + (1/2) with respect to the output P (kW) of a laser generated by laser welding, and the maximum diameter DMAX (mm) of the droplets satisfies the relationship M ≥ 4DMAX/3 with respect to the length M (mm) of an arc produced by the gas-shielded arc welding.
