Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a laser detection device, used for the detection of a vehicle in an intelligent transportation system, the device comprising: a light source unit for generating a laser beam having a short pulse; a transmitter optical system for converting the laser beam into a line beam having a line form; and a receiver optical system for receiving a reflected beam of the line beam, which is irradiated at the vehicle, backscattered, reflected and returned therefrom, and for calculating a distance value by using a reception time difference between the laser beam and the reflected beam, wherein the transmitter optical system includes a first lens and a second lens, aligned successively, to which the laser beam passing from the light source unit is incident, and adjusts a distance between the light source unit and the first lens so as to extend or reduce the length of the horizontal axis of the line beam, and thus allow the same to match the width of a road to be measured. Therefore, the current traffic situation can be checked in real-time by accurately checking, regardless of the size of the road, whether the vehicles, passing the laser beam irradiated from the laser detection device, have passed.
