Abstract:
A laser illumination device (10), comprising: a laser light source (110) that emits excitation light; and a wavelength conversion device (120) containing a wavelength conversion material. The wavelength conversion device (120) comprises a solid light guide (121), the solid light guide (121) comprising a first end surface (121a) and a second end surface (121b) opposingly arranged, and a first side surface (121c) and a second side surface (121d) opposingly arranged. The first end surface (121a) is connected to the second end surface (121b) by means of the first side surface (121c). The first end surface (121a) is a light incidence surface, and the first side surface (121c) is a light emission surface. A diffuse reflection structure (123) is provided on the second end surface (121b). The excitation light passes through the first end surface (121a) to enter the interior of the wavelength conversion device (120), and stimulated light is emitted from the interior of the wavelength conversion device (120) by means of the first side surface (121c). The angle of intersection of the first side surface (121c) and the second end surface (121b) is an obtuse angle. By means of such angle design, the angle of incidence of the excitation light diffusely reflected by the second end surface (121b) on the first side surface (121c) is increased, expanding the total reflection area, greatly reducing the excitation light directly emitted from positions on the first side surface (121c) near to the second end surface (121b), lessening or eliminating the problems of uneven edge illumination/color in emitted light.
